Sunday’s Craig y Don party in the park was a huge success.  The whole community came together and money was raised for both the park and local charities.  I think it is safe to say it was the best one so far.

Of course the event would not have happened without the hard work of everyone involved.  18 volunteers from the Friends of the park manned stalls and generally organised the day; and all of these had been involved in the preparation in the months and weeks leading up to the party.

Seven charities/non-profit stalls; emergency services and Council’s youth bus added to the atmosphere.  The donut and ice cream sellers made generous donations.  The bouncy castle supplied and run by Ysgol Lllanddulas PTA; and donkey rides were loved by the children.  Bryan George was a great compare.  The crowds were entertained by Llandudno Youth Music Theatre, Clare Kite Zumba, Rebound gymnastic display, Rocking Ron and Dean Raymond’s magic.

Local businesses were very generous.  The provided raffle and tombola prizes, discounted items for us to sell and lent us equipment.  They included Venue Cymru, Tommys, Fortes, David Vaun carpet cleaners, Deva, Deganwy Quay hotel, Carlo’s Italian Restaurant, Mrs Darlington Fine Jams, Imperial Hotel, ASH hairdressers, Carreg Bran hotel, The Chocolate Box, Benards, Town & Country carpets, Asda, The Ham Bone, The Co-Op, The Kendrick Hotel, Boots the Chemist, Cater Vets, Pets at Home, Battys nursery, Llandudno Carpet and Beds, and Queen Elizabeth Court.

And finally, thank you to everyone who came along on the day.
