Winner – North Wales Wildlife Trust

The park has been announced as the winner of the “Best community garden” in a recent competition organised by the North Wales Wildlife Trust. This is a fantastic achievement and all down to the hard work of a small group of dedicated volunteers.

Also, we are very pleased to announce that one of the Friends of the Park, Sonia Davies, was given an Gold award for her private garden in the same competition.

Here are a few photos from the judging day.

This year’s party in the park was another great success. Organised by the Friends of Queens Park Craig y Don it was a great opportunity for the whole community to come together to enjoy the park in all its glory.

The Friends were overwhelmed with the generosity of local businesses and residents who donated so many items for the raffle, tombola and auction.  And to everyone who came along to support the event.
